I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As the two fighters met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually proceeding.
